The 5th Awareness-Raising Seminar of the Technical Assistance Project for Supporting the Digital Transformation of the Manufacturing Industry (DIGITALTR) took place on 24 September 2026 at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine’s 50th Anniversary Amphitheatre, hosted by the Ankara Innovative Diagnosis and Treatment Products Development Centre (AnkaTheraHub). The event brought together manufacturing industry representatives, technology providers, digital transformation experts, and project stakeholders to explore available support mechanisms, application opportunities, and potential collaborations.

As one of the four Digital Transformation Centres participating in the DIGITALTR Project, AnkaTheraHub plays a key role in supporting digital transformation, particularly in the medical sector and healthcare technologies. With its expertise in innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and advanced research infrastructure, the Centre aims to strengthen the digital capabilities of healthcare technology companies and facilitate the development of innovative solutions.

The seminar began with an introduction to the services offered under the DIGITALTR Project, including Digital Maturity Assessment, Digital Transformation Consultancy, Testing and Validation, and Joint Technology Solution Development. Project experts Didem Elif Bilgili, Dr.-Ing. Joachim Lentes, and Mehmet Kürümlüoğlu provided detailed information on the Open Call for Applications, eligibility criteria, application procedures, implementation timelines, and available support mechanisms. Participants also had the opportunity to discuss application requirements directly with the project team during an interactive Q&A session.

The programme continued with a panel discussion focusing on AnkaTheraHub’s Best Practices, Success Stories, and Lessons Learned. Moderated by Tutku Ünver, Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics Department at AnkaTheraHub, the panel featured Şimal Ünal Özbek from Kalbontek, Abdurrahman Mithat Bozdayı from MOTAKK, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haydar Ankışhan from LH Elektronik. The speakers shared their experiences, practical applications, and lessons learned from digital transformation processes, highlighting the opportunities created by integrating innovative technologies into research, development, and manufacturing activities.

The event also featured business-to-business (B2B) meetings and networking sessions, providing opportunities for companies, technology providers, DIGITALTR centres, and project representatives to exchange knowledge, explore potential partnerships, and identify areas for future collaboration. The programme concluded with a guided tour of AnkaTheraHub, allowing participants to gain firsthand insights into the Centre’s advanced research infrastructure, technological capabilities, and services.

Through its involvement in the DIGITALTR Project, AnkaTheraHub aims to contribute to the digital transformation of companies operating in the medical and healthcare technology sectors. By connecting scientific research capabilities with industry needs, the Centre continues to promote technological innovation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable collaboration, supporting the development of innovative healthcare technologies and strengthening the wider digital transformation ecosystem.
