Global Experts Unite in Antalya to Advance Hereditary Cancer Research

The International Hereditary Cancers Congress, held from February 6-8, 2025, at the Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel in Antalya, brought together leading experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advancements in hereditary cancer diagnosis, treatment, and research and development. Co-organized by the Society of Hereditary Cancers and AnkaTheraHub, the congress featured a diverse range of sessions and panels covering genomics, early detection methods, and innovative therapeutic approaches. The event provided a crucial platform for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaborations.

A significant highlight of the conference was the joint session between AnkaTheraHub and the Society of Hereditary Cancers, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Artaç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berksoy Şahin, and Dr. Taha Bahşi. Esteemed speakers, including Prof. Dr. Hakan Akbulut (Genomics Research and Testing at AnkaTheraHub), Prof. Marie-Laure Yaspo (Alacris Theranostics GmbH, Advances in Genomic Tests), Dr. Altuğ Koç (Targeted or Comprehensive Test Panels in Hereditary Cancers), and Dr. Ayberk Türkyılmaz (Genomic Variants in Hereditary Cancers), presented groundbreaking insights into genomics research, advancements in genetic testing, and the role of genomic variants in hereditary cancers.

Throughout the event, AnkaTheraHub also had an information stand at the event venue, where participants had the opportunity to engage with experts and learn more about the services offered by AnkaTheraHub. Many participants visited the stand, showing great interest in the services of AnkaTheraHub and collaborative opportunities with the Centre in the field of cancer and infectious diseases. In addition, SMEs participating in AnkaTheraHub’s Incubator Programme also took part in the event and disseminated information about their innovative services and products at the AnkaTheraHub stand. Their presence highlighted the growing role of startups and SMEs in advancing genomic research and precision medicine.
