Proteomic Applications Addressed in AnkaTheraHub’s Scientific Meeting Series
The fourth edition of AnkaTheraHub’s Scientific Meeting series, titled “Proteomics Applications in Biomarker Discovery, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Clinical Research” was held online on October 25, 2024. The event, which focused on innovations in the field of proteomics, attracted significant interest and featured leading scientists and academics.
Dr. Burak Veli Kabasakal from the Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory (TARLA) moderated the meeting. Prof. Dr. Hakan Akbulut, Director of AnkaTheraHub, delivered the opening speech and provided information about AnkaTheraHub.
Prof. Hyun Joo An from Chungnam National University, Korea focused on “Intact Analysis for Therapeutic Glycoproteins” discussing Glycobiology in Biotherapeutics, Glycosylation Characterization on Biotherapeutics, Comparability Assessment of Biopharmaceutical Glycosylation by AI Technology.
Following that, Prof. Dr. Bekir Salih from Hacettepe University presented on “Current State-of-the-Art Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics: Post-Translational Modifications, Mass Spectrometric Imaging and Ion Mobility-Mass Spectrometry” providing comprehensive information particularly on post-translational modifications.
Prof. Dr. Gizem Dinler Doğanay from Istanbul Technical University addressed “Targeting Protein-protein Interfaces for Therapeutic Intervention ın Cancer Signalling Pathways.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süreyya Özcan Kabasakal from Middle East Technical University delivered the final presentation on “Mass Spectrometry for Clinical Applications” highlighting the importance of mass spectrometry in clinical diagnosis and treatment processes.
This prominent event by AnkaTheraHub provided participants with the opportunity to closely understand the latest developments in proteomic applications in biomarker discovery. The meeting, attended by a large audience, is expected to inspire new research in related fields.
