The AnkaTrials Workshop Aims to Present AnkaTheraHub’s Role in Clinical Research

April 16, 2025

The AnkaTrials Workshop is an important step towards positioning AnkaTheraHub strength in clinical at a global level!

Held on 15 April 2025, in İstanbul, the workshop provided a productive platform for researchers, academics, and industry representatives to discuss models that will shape the future of clinical research. Organized with the aim of increasing Türkiye’s clinical research      potential and visibility on an international level, the workshop contributed to enable future clinical research initiatives.

During the workshop, participants engaged in intense discussions across four main thematic areas:

  1. Contributing to Global Research with Molecular, Genetic, and Pathology Tests: This session focused on how AnkaTheraHub’s genetic, molecular, and pathology test infrastructure could contribute to international multi-center research. Collaboration opportunities were discussed from both scientific and operational perspectives.
  2. AnkaTrials Integration Model: Models were evaluated to ensure that centers in Türkiye could participate in national and international research without being hindered by bureaucratic obstacles, allowing them to join quickly, flexibly, and efficiently. This model aims to accelerate operational processes such as centralized ethical approvals, digital application systems, and umbrella contracts.
  3. Phase I–II Studies and Clinical Research on Endemic Diseases in Türkiye: This session discussed the necessary infrastructure, regulations, and collaboration models to help Türkiye play a more effective role in Phase I–II early-stage studies in clinical research. Strategies were also developed to integrate global research on endemic diseases.
  4. Researcher Project Pool and Industry Matching: A system was discussed to collect, develop, and match research ideas from Turkish researchers with appropriate industry stakeholders. Support mechanisms were defined for bridging these ideas with the industry.

AnkaTheraHub aims to integrate Türkiye into global clinical research initiatives through such events and plans to lead innovative projects in the health sector. The recommendations developed during the workshop will be transformed into concrete action plans and implemented to contribute to global research.

The AnkaTrials platform aims to enable Türkiye to develop global collaborations in health sciences and secure a leading position in clinical research. These kinds of events mark an important milestone in Türkiye’s clinical research ecosystem.
