Türkiye’s Potential in Biosimilar Medicines Discussed in Ankara
The 7th Scientific Meeting organized by AnkaTheraHub was held on 22 May 2025 under the theme “Unlocking the Potential of Biosimilars in Türkiye: Innovation, Access, and Future Trends”. The meeting was moderated by Dr. Hakkı Gürsöz, Former President of the TITCK.
The event began with an opening speech and introduction of the AnkaTheraHub by Prof. Dr. Hakan Akbulut, Director of AnkaTheraHub.
Following this, Julie Maréchal from the Medicines for Europe Association joined the event online and delivered a presentation on “Biosimilar Drug Production and Regulatory Processes”.
Next, Alexandra Moulson, Chief Strategy & Portfolio Officer at Polpharma Biologics, shared insights on “Development of Biosimilar Medicines”, focusing on innovative production approaches and global trends in the biotechnology market.
The event continued with a presentation titled “Biosimilar Regulations in Türkiye” by Dr. Hakkı Gürsöz, who outlined the current regulatory framework in the country.
The meeting concluded with a panel discussion and an interactive Q&A session.
