Prof. Dr. Hakan Akbulut

Dr. Hakan Akbulut obtained his MD degree at Hacettepe University and trained in medical oncology at Ankara University, Ankara, Turkey. He is currently a professor of Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at the Department of Medical Oncology of Ankara University. He has clinical and pre-clinical research activity in Ankara and is involved in various national and international basic and clinical research projects. He is a member of the COVID-19 Turkey Platform, developing vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 infection and producing the first adenoviral vector-based vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Prof. Akbulut has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles. He has been a UICC Fellow since 2008. He serves as the chief of the Medical Oncology department of Ankara University School of Medicine and Cancer Research Institute of Ankara University.
